Broken

For those of you who don't know yet, Alexis broke his femur on the 7th. He skied off a traverse into a gully by accident and hit a rock with his leg. 3 1/2 hours of surgery, and a week in the hospital later he is back at home and able to get around a little bit on crutches. If all goes well the surgeon says that he should be back out there in the powder next season.
I have to say that if you must break a leg, Tahoe is a good place to do it. The orthopedic surgery is very good and the hospital in South Lake was great. Apart from one slightly space-cadet nurse all the staff were great.

Holidays in Montreal

Despite the very very cold weather a good time was had by all ... skiing snowshoeing skating...
and lots of time to visit with family and friends.
