Babies!

Two new boys entered the world recently - Alexis' sister Isabelle gave birth to Florian and Mi-Suk's best friend Jen gave birth to Quinlan. We haven't been able to meet them in person yet, but we hope it won't be too long.

Summer trips

Although we didn't get out as much as we wanted to- we did take some nice weekend trips.
Frances and Joelle joined us for a trip in the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne river in Yosemite, Peggy went with us to Lassen for a nice 3 day loop and thanks to Sonja - who is much more organized than us we were able to go camping at Steep ravine near stinson beach (reservations need to be made 6 months in advance!). Bread

I've been making bread again - here are two of the latest experiments:
Focaccia

and Baguettes


I wish the focaccia was a little thinner and the baguettes a little crustier but I thought they both turned out well for first attempts.

Trying something new

We went for a week in mid May and had an incredibly relaxing time climbing hiking and enjoying the desert.
